As is the case after any surgery, certain matters require care after being discharged and going home after a kidney transplant surgery. It is normal for the patient to feel tired after undergoing a surgery and stressful days. Particularly in the first few days after being discharged and going home, the patient should rest and avoid exertion. They should abstain from heavy housework and gardening work for the first few weeks. They may begin light exercise after a few weeks; however, weight-lifting and strenuous exercise are not recommended during the first three months.
